Mission Statement

 

The mission of the Ushers Ministry of Christ United Methodist Church is to lead and guide our fellow ushers, visitors, friends, family & other ministries, making them feel welcome to our church & church services. Reaching out to the members of our community, youth and elders, becoming a source of inspiration and information. To help build and grow the membership of our ushers’ ministry/congregation by becoming a strong and resourceful caring ministry

 

Ministry Scripture -- 2 Peter 1:3-10

 

The responsibilities of the Ushers Ministry are as follows: to greet and make members and visitors welcome; to be available for funerals or other church events; to assist families in various capacities during services and events; to accompany the Pastor when he/she is invited to speak at another church; to attend fellow ushers’ anniversaries; to clean the sanctuary after each service; to make sure food or drink is brought into the sanctuary; and to record attendance for services.

 

The expectations of a servant is to love others as the Lord loves us, pray that this is the ministry that the Lord has led you to, and have love & passion for your ministry. It is important that being a servant means you always give your tithes and offerings.  When you are uncertain of anything, look to your leader for guidance and/or counselling.

 

Meetings

The Ushers Ministry meet on the 2nd Thursday at 7:00 p.m. during the months of January, March, May, September, and November.
